This was a challenge. A construction and state agency services company, founded by a Wisteria lover. They basically build houses but also act as a state agency. The name already narrowed a lot the color choices, and the client wanted to show wisteria as an icon. I played with several techniques and decided to go for watercolour, to create a more abstract effect. I had a clear idea of what it could work, a ‘W’ that would show the typical wisterias hanging and covering the wall, I had a pretty good picture. Then I created different splashes of watercolour, then the process: paint, scan, retouched and vectorised. Afterwards, I separate them in 3 different layers to create a logo using 3 tints of the corporate purple. I’m very happy with the result.
