This was a project in the Studio. We had to represent C.G. Harrison Chemistry in an icon that would work beautifully alone and also with the name. They were looking for something that would identify them straight away with their sector (but a cross, they specifically didn’t want a cross by any chance). Moreover they icon would be just in one ink (and tints), and it will have to include a reference to their name. So here it is what I came up with.
